Here, we have one of the best casks from The Glenlivet stable, as selected by Master Distiller Alan Winchester. While the exact barrel variety remains a mystery, we can deduce it is highly likely an American oak ex-Bourbon cask. This particular release is a tribute to the Scottish town of Perth, where in times past, smugglers would intercept trade routes and pay over and above other brands for the superior whiskies made by The Glenlivet.
