Mars Shinshu distillery has been around since 1985, but spent the best part of a decade silent, making the whiskies hard to find. At the highest altitude of all Japanese distilleries, there are dramatic fluctuations in temperature that age the whisky rapidly. Only 10,000 bottles exist worldwide.
